Funding Options featured in government-owned British Business Bank’s Annual Report

28 July 2017

The government-owned British Business Bank released its Annual Report earlier this month, and Funding Options is pleased to be mentioned for helping businesses find finance through the Bank Referral Scheme.

The Scheme is part of the British Business Bank’s key objective of improving SME understanding of finance choices. Funding Options Chief Executive Conrad Ford says:

“We’ve argued for a long time that too many UK business owners aren’t fully aware of the funding options that may be open to them. The Bank Referral Scheme gives businesses the chance to find vital alternative finance when they are turned down by their bank.
“Funding Options helps businesses find finance every day and we are pleased that the British Business Bank chose to highlight the Bank Referral Scheme using our case study, Fork Truck Borders Instruction and The Purity Centre.
“These two businesses demonstrate the huge diversity of SMEs that are benefitting from the Bank Referral Scheme, and the continuing importance of the alternative finance market.
“It’s a fact of life that many UK firms don’t fit mainstream bank lending criteria, and The Bank Referral Scheme gives those businesses access to a broad range of alternatives through trusted platforms such as Funding Options.”

Funding Options is also celebrating its most successful quarter, having helped a record number of businesses find vital finance, and is pleased to have been Funding Circle’s 2017 Top Introducer, and iwoca’s Broker of the Month once again.
